    This makes sense. I will relocate the sensor. I am still mystified as to why my trans could be getting so hot, yet running and shifting so well.

    That are numbers that I do with a gasser.
    A Turbo Diesel pulls with torque, not rpm.
    Between 1800 and 2300 is my sweet spot, I only go above this number if there is no gear available that fits this.

    True about the engine but its the slipping TC and the heat it generates that I worry about. I failed to mention I have 3.55 gears which is fine when empty but not so good when loaded.
