I see that a little different, I expect a transmission to run on a 100% duty cycle in every gear possible, so GCWR shouldn't really matter.

The engine gives the number - the tires pay the price, everything in between the two has to stand it.

So I see nothing wrong with what the two of you did with your trucks.

Of course if the engines parameter are changed that's a whole new game, but stock engine shouldn't be able to destroy a transmission.

I sincerely doubt a stock engine will pull a 34 ft 5er 70mph. I know mine struggled with a 32 footer when stock and that trailer put me over 20,000 pounds GCWR. It wasn't until Joe D installed a fuel plate for me that I was better able to tow that much weight. When you exceed design limits how would you determine "100% duty cycle"?

I'm with you as I said with the last sentence in last post.
Change the engine, whole new game.

    Hi guys,

Finally getting around to installing the Gen III hydros. It all looks the same as my Gen II set up?! I am having a hell of a time getting the master cylinder to lock into the firewall. Any tips??

The G56 is still doing great! I love the even splits between gears.
