    Is that Oak?

It's red oak. I just milled up a bunch of pin oak as well. I will generally do one dimensional edge and leave one live edge for future woulda coulda shoulda projects.

I have a poor mans saw mill, I sure wouldn't want to have to make a living off it but I don't mind watching my mules put in a little work when we have a project to do :)

Thanks. That was my guess as I was a finish Carpenter and have installed thousands of board feet of Red Oak.

The Son did get his 21k dump he ordered a while back after getting rear ended. He kept the old one and is having it rebuilt then will sell it for around 13k. Should make a few $$$ on the deal.

This one has the full 4’ sides.

Yes they did and he recently took it from he shop Then returned it with his punch list.

Sounds like they used a used bed that was filthy underneath and did not clean it. They also drilled the puck holes off center. Not sure how bad or what they are going to do.

I think in general he is happy with their job. .

Saw 6 loads of lumber just like this going into Holloman AFB the other day to "improve" the site we are maintaining for our "guests". At least your tax payer pockets are deep for the gov to be able to buy lumber at these prices. Another guest area is only about 60 miles in the other direction and its a lot bigger, bet they got 10 or 12 loads.

Calling all dump trailer owners/operators. Or just anyone with hydraulic experience.

If you have a dump trailer you know how slow they cycle. The bigger the trailer/hoist the slower they go. I think jhenderson put me on to a double pump system that is offered. I am really thinking about it or just adding a second pump. The double pump is expensive or about $800 more than a second pump. Since two pumps will have two tanks, my concern is, will the oil level stay equal or will one or the other overflow. I think I can adapt a fitting to the tanks and run a hose between them. There is an unused plug on the tanks that I think is 1" straight thread. Is there a 1" o-ring boss fitting? I think they are straight thread. What do you guys think?

@NIsaacs , Yes there is a 1" O-ring fitting, is a SAE 16 Boss fitting. And yes again by adding a hose to balance the tanks would be the best option. If not, could be quite the mess! Surplus Center will have the fittings and hoses as well as plenty of other things!
