I'm from North Carolina. We do pork BBQ here and we can't agree on a sauce. Eastern BBQ has a mustard-based sauce and we have Lexington vinegar/tomato-based sauce here.

Sauce can be good, some I have tried were very good, but when you get BBQ that is coved, no make that drenched in sauce without you asking for it the first thing that comes to my mine is what's wrong with it or did you add it trying to cover up a bad meat...

Up In Smoke, Hillsboro. The exit is just south of the junction of 35E & 35W.

Also, I don't slow down for the chain stores of Rudy's or Bill Miller.

I was more interested in the fact that I can finally get my hands on a "1977 Trans Am with a gold firebird painted on the hood"!!!!

CB, you don't have to eat any veggies if you don't want to. They wonderful buttered and smoked though.

Franklins so good, but a few years back, they had a fire and was closed, so we hit Stubbs a few blocks away that was deep South BBQ and cooking, Vivian and I shared 3 meat platter, sausage, brisket, and ribs. OMG, their sides are worth the diversion. I got collards/pork and mac/cheese... Vivian got whiskey beans and tater salad. Great music, you can hang, have some beers, and listen to the blues.

As shown above, we eat BBQ at home most of the time, but there's Harmon's in Cibolo TX, just off IH35 coming into San Antonio TX. I like a sliced brisket, sausage, onions, and jalepanos samage home made sub roll. It's really two meals in one.

Texas Pride BBQ, this is place for BBQ, dancing, and a cold one or two. I get there early and secret sam sammage, burnt brisket ends, sliced sausage sammage, onions and jalepanos. KIller!

Finally made the stop at Buc-ees, was surprised to see so may gas pumps with aprox 80% of pumps with vehicles filing up, oh the smell of fresh made food filled the air once inside, the fresh jerky is so tasteful, so glad it was suggested for us to stop at....
