    If you are of a certain age (i.e., if you are at least 60 years old), you may grown up with an exposure and subsequent interest in space.

    At roughly 4PM eastern time today NASA's Perseverance Rover landed on the surface of Mars. The first image received:

    It’s fascinating and yes my millennial and younger kids were very interested. The only thing I thought flaky was the graphic screen play they showed from mission control. I’m guessing it was an estimation of what it would look like as if you were already on the ground. I would have appreciated some actual video or just some sort of telemetry much more, no matter how crude it may have been.

    Not much useful footage of the landing, can be filmed from the craft itself....and I'm guessing not much of a priority.
