I fired up my old 96 and stepped out to clean the windows. I noticed something leaking. It turns out to be coolant, coming from some sending unit (?) on the forward passenger side , up underneath the exhaust manifold and forward of the oil filter. Sound familiar?

I just logged into Forum. Haven't been on here for months. Did you get leak fixed. On my 96 3500 it had a coolant leak when I bought truck (1999) showing evidence down block side. Turned out head gasket was leaking near thermostat housing. Took 3 tries at dealership to get them to pull head under warranty back then and replace gasket.

It started with a broken stud. Had to pull the head.. It was cracked. New head. $4K later, it is starting to leak out of the lower radiator hose <LOL>
