Hey folks, I'm new to the site been over at CF for years. I didn't see an introductory section.

I've got a 2003 Ram 2500 4X4 QCSB. I do all my own work. I worked for Cummins in Bakersfield back in the late 70s for 20 years. I was there when the mid-year change 1988/9 B series came out in the Dodge. Worked on the B long before that on well pumps and gen sets. I work on everything on my vehicles and I've got a few :D. Mostly Ramchargers and one 96 Ram 1500.

Thanks for letting me join. ;)

Here's my baby, bought new and has 326,000 miles on it.

Nice. I’m starting to look for a 3 Gen as well. Just don’t know if I should get a manual transmission again, or if that 4 speed auto is good enough, and how long they last.
    Congrats!!!

    Welcome!
My 2004 has 282500. Could not be more pleased. My 1989 had 120000.

With your past history, you may well be a resource to the TDR.

    Thanks

I know when the 6BT came out in the pick ups Bakersfield Dodge (now Haddad Dodge I believe) did not have even one B certified mechanic. They brought every one to Cummins and besides myself there was one other mechanic who worked on the 6BT in the pick ups. I got a grip of experience working on them.

I left Cummins West Inc. In January 1996 and switched gears completely. I went into law enforcement. I never stopped working on stuff though and restored a lot of military vehicles like an 1944 Willys MB jeep, 1945 Gemco T1 trailer, 1954 M211 6X6 2-1/2 ton, 1962 M422A1 Mighty Mite and M416B1 trailer to pull behind the Mite.

The Mite and B1. They are all I have left of my military vehicles.

This is where a great deal of attention is now focused, Ramchargers!

Here's a blast from the past! 1995 just tuned up a KVTA 3067 cid 16 cylinder for BJ Hughes.
