Just completed a P-pump conversion on my 24V truck and I cannot get the Fuel shutoff solenoid adjusted correctly.

The injection pump fuel lever will not move to the full open position with the solenoid rod adjustment maxed out.

This is a new and correct Larry B’s solenoid on a fresh rebuilt P7100 supplied by Scheid Diesel Service .

I called Larry at Foster Truck and discussed this issue and we confirmed the solenoid has the correct dimensions.

Anyone come across this issue before? Can or should the solenoid be shimmed on the bracket to effectively move the fuel lever to the fully open position?

Is the woodruff key on the shaft?

Post some pics of your solenoid mounted and the lever.

Finally had some time to look into this.. Yes there is a woodruff key. In the fuel on (solenoid up) position you can see all of the threads are used on the adjustment shaft. Must be something internal to the injection pump. FD6BB20F-6F1E-4E98-BB73-1B2975C94B7C.jpeg #ad
