Looking to see what is recommended for a jump starter for a diesel. Presently have a 700 amp Stanley, but does not have enough umph for a diesel. I assume I need something around a 2000 amp. Looking at a Lokithor 2500A

I've been happy with my NOCO GB70 2000 amp jump pack. Haven't needed it for my '03 but have used it on several cars and a Ford F350 diesel with no problems.

It's pricey but every so often Amazon offers it at 35-45% off. I paid $125.96 just over 2 years ago.

After viewing a few Youtubes it seems as though the NOCO's did not fair very well. I ended up ordering an Audew E-155. It received good ratings...We will see.

NOCO for the win. Like Ozy said, get the biggest one you can afford.
