Aside from that, you know that you need to reprogram the ECM for the change?

Financially it is cheaper to sell the truck and buy a manual one then do a conversion, to many things are involved that weren't in the old days of hardware only.

yes i understand that i have to have the ecm reprogrammed and re tuned. Witch is only 1200 dollars.I was going to be putting a s467.7 on it any way so i would have to have a retune anyways. I don't have to buy the g56 transmission do to i have a fully built 68rfe from ats. Ats has already agreed to swap me transmissions sence i have gone through 4 of there transmission in less then 3 years. So the transmission is not a big cost and if i can get the wiring harness part figured out i would be on my way. I want to keep the truck i have its a mega cab that is in good condition with a really strong engine. It already has performance stuff done to it and it has a upgrade audio system in the truck. i just cant keep a transmission behind it. All the other trucks i find are pretty beat if there manual or have crazy high mileage.Or are a long ways away from me. So if i factor all that in i don't really think the financial part is going to be a big differance. On top of that i would have to wait for my truck to sell witch considering the transmission is on the way out for the 4th time. I think its just time to move to a g56 i am not to concerned with the cost of the swap. But if i can save 1500 bucks on a wiring harness then i would like to do that considering the wiring harness have more than doubled in the last couple years.
