    The frame around the rear door window looks thicker on the 2500.

    Not the same. The 2019 Ram HDs keep the current body with a new front clip and new interior. They won't get the Ram 1500's new body until MY2022 when production starts in Warren sometime in 2021.

    I have a friend that is the Sales Manager for Gastonia Dodge here in NC. He told me they can't even order a 2500 or larger for 2019 until January or February.
