2001 Dodge Ram 2500

GLWS.......but I’m thinking that truck was not anywhere near $37,500 when it rolled off the line.

 

We paid 33k and change for our 2001.5 2500 4x4. And I thought I was asking top dollar for our 2015 3500, guess I am 10K low on my price!

 

Paid 34k for my 01 4x4 3500 SLT manual transmission (NEW)

 

Paid $28K out the door for my 2000 Ram SLT 2500 QC 4x4 6spd, camper option (overload springs) 3.54s, LB.

Be interesting to see if this one goes for asking price.

I "rebuilt" the truck via Autoblog.com and came up with new sticker price of $37,805+/-.

With new truck prices of $75K+ I am certain my truck will be a great fit for a cash buyer that believes in the Cummins brand as much as I do.

Not in a hurry to sell and intend to hold out for the best offer - whatever that may be...

The price does seem high but I have seen a couple of clean and unmolested low mileage 2nd gens sell in the upper 20's. I wouldn't be surprised if this one got 30k but 37 is dreaming. As they say though, there's a butt for every seat.

 

Postes this last week, my 96' window sticker is $34,231.

That includes the $400 Dodge discount.

Also found the original extended warranty in the glove box.

Yeah.. That bring a trailer site seems like a dreamers place... wouldn't base my budget on it

 

Maybe Jay Leno has gotten into RAM trucks. He runs the price up on anything he likes.

 

If that truck was a long bed and Sport maybe worth the $$$.

People have gotten stupid with prices these days, but no more stupid than the folks paying those prices.

Depends on where one buys the TRX. My friend’s TRX is in Salt Lake City and is enroute for Classic Motors in Richfield, UT.

Already received a 30k offer and a few 25-28k offers. Still early on and holding out for top dollar. These are interesting times in a unique seller's market. Will keep you all posted. Thank you all for your comments.

 

I have a nice Colt 1911 Gold Cup Model 70 from the 70's in pristine condition it's worth more than the same new gun. It's all about what you want, like and can afford.

 

But that doesn’t make it “worth” double its value.

Then again things are worth what someone will pay, wether or not the price is justified.
