Just received today what I thought was another notice to bring truck in for recalibration for emissions.

notice states it will extend warranty for many emission related parts & Labor if you let them update.
    Mine is a 2016 3500
I believe it covers certain 2013-2019 models

Just curious, why is coming here “too stressful”?

    Same here. I'm curious too.

This forum is great! I really like the folks on here, I love the magazine, and most importantly there is a lot of good information on these forums!

The comment too stressful would relate to constantly reading the problems people here are experiencing.
I only use my truck to pull a travel trailer so it doesn’t have many miles on it. On a trip several years ago 1100 miles from home my turbo actuator failed. Found through experience that it still got me home without any boost. Repair was made under warranty. I’m fortunate that a dealership is only a couple miles away & they have at least one good mechanic.
I know there are some good people here and some with quite strong opinions.
My last tow vehicle went 19 years and there was no fear of going into limp mode. Or needing $4000 & up for repairs.
As a last note I do my own maintenance

    be well all

All these forums have owners with issues. I don't think it reflects the average owner. I learn stuff every time I log in.

I agree. Want some angina? Go over to the EcoD forums (not here, go Google it)...

These here Cummins trucks do have issues, but for the more part are very reliable and just work.

Can't agree more, that a majority on here are just providing directions and help. It's like extended family, always some feather ruffling, but still sit down to dinner with peace! We all seem to agree to disagree! :p

I mean. What use would the forum be if people didn’t come here with problems. It’s a support community. If there were no issues and pages of how happy and problem free everyone is. Why would this be here? I think it’s a great place to trouble shoot and figure things out before paying someone to diagnose. There is at least someone else who’s had the same issue. For me. It’s about making sure I get to and from my destination without issue for my family. If I can ensure it’s properly maintained and diagnose issues on the go I’m happy. Things are gonna happen. I just want to mitigate or diagnose quickly. Being broken down doesn’t bother me. Being broken down with my wife and kids miles from home does. Therefore I read the forums and try to maintain my truck to always get us there and back. Two Rams and 14 years never left the family stranded. Knock on wood!!!
