Turn signal indicator problem

I'll check both of those out too. I rarely do any wiring, but when I do it would be nice to have all the proper tools. And thanks for the offer to help using the meter! It would be good to know how to properly use the thing lol. I'm good at wiring things up and making them work... but as far as diagnosing things that DON'T work, I haven't got a clue.

 

Easy to blow a fuse when probing a lamp socket by touching the bulb contact (hot / +) and leaning the probe to where it also contacts the socket side (ground / -). Straight short to ground causing the circuit's "magic smoke" to leak out at the fuse. Same idea used in the game "Operation", but the game uses an indicating light and buzzer to limit the current in the circuits.
