I had them on my 03 and liked them a lot. Had the Fogster (or whatever) that allows the fog lights to be on with the high beams. Works great! I may just put everything on the 05.

Do these ever change color on you if you quickly flash your high beams on and off at someone?

These do look really nice! Makes me hesitant as there are no reviews on Amazon.

I had not given thought to the driving lights on and being automatically switched off and back on by the cycling of the high beam. Interesting, I am sure I will soon find out.

They are a new product so I understand the lack of reviews. Again, we shall see.

I just placed my order from eBay. $135 for the set with free shipping.
These should basically be plug and play for me even though the 05 Ram did not come with fog lights. I was able to switch everything over from my wrecked 03, including the light switch and wiring harness across the front. Everything from the switch to the front connector was already there.
I already have the Brite Box Fogster from Geno’s that allow the fog lights to stay on with the high beams, so hopefully, the visibility will be better than ever!

I bought mine thru Amazon, also $135, and is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Mine could be a hassle on the left side because the ½ gallon air tank for the Pac Brake Exhaust brake is behind it. Will probably have to pull the wheel well liner (for the umpteenth time) and remove the tank to swap out the light then reinstall everything.

To be honest, I rarely use fog lights but I've been in fog where I could have used them, years ago. Many people seem to automatically switch them on, I never have, not on the car or this truck. With the AlphaRex Nova lights, I really don't need more light but these were not too expensive so why not?

I'm in the process of repacking the wheel bearings on the travel trailer, one done, three to go, so it may be next week before I get to the lights.

Both my trucks have the OEM headlights that are really bad. The high beams seem worse that the low beams, but the OEM fog lights on the 03 really helped a lot on low beam. Then I found the Brite Box Fogster from Geno’s Garage, which made a HUGE difference on high beam. The fog lights with high beams add tremendously to the perrifrial lighting, which is important for deer.

Down the road. If these LED fog lights work nice, maybe new headlights some day.

OK, AlphaRex flog/driving lights arrived Thursday and I managed to install them late on Saturday evening. Managed to squeeze under the front of the truck without having to jack it up (2x4 and they are much lower than 4x4) and I had enough room to get the light out and new one in past the PacBrake air tank that is mounted somewhat below and slightly inboard of the left light. Right side was wide open (I installed the Hella lights using a Mopar kit)

As the new lights had wire connections on short pigtails (as opposed to the hard connections on the Hella lights) I had to use wire ties to keep wire connectors secure so they don't dangle and bounce around.

The lights work quite well. The white beam is taller than the yellow beam and shines a little higher. The yellow fog light beam is quite low and both have a sharp cutoff and a lot of spread. I have not driven them yet but the adjustment doesn't look too bad, as they came out of the box.

The hardware, screws and clipnuts are all in a bag in the left light's box and sure enough, I started on the right light (easier to install without the air tank in the way) and I'm thinking, "what, no hardware?" then I opened the Left side box and it was all there.

The lights stay on whatever you set them for (white or yellow) if you are, for instance, on low beam and just use the momentary position of the headlight switch to flash someone. If you click fully to high beam, they of course go out, but will come back on AS WHITE DRIVING LIGHTS when you switch back, if you were on high beam more than 5 secs. If you are using fog lights, there would be no reason to switch to high beam anyhow. If you are fully clicked to high beam and switch back to low, its just like you were switching the driving/fog lights on off quickly, it comes back on in the opposite of whatever you had it on before.

The difference is that the momentary position leaves the low beam on, and ADDS the high beam (which is a lot of amps with normal headlights, that the system cannot tolerate for more than a couple of seconds). The AlphaRex headlights react differently, maintaining the low beam (3 projectors) and on high beam, simply adding the fourth projector. Thats handled with circuitry inside the headlight.

None of this bothers me, as I rarely use them, but may find good use for them in extremely foggy conditions such as found in Florida.

As I have said on the thread I made about installing the AlphaRex NOVA headlights (https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/alpharex-nova-headlights.274662/), I REALLY LIKE the AlphaRex Nova headlights, but am pissed that the amber side reflectors don't reflect, and more perturbed with the hokey answer I got from them, BUT I AM NOT ABOUT TO SEND THE LIGHTS BACK BECAUSE OF THAT.

My AlphaRex fog lights came today. Before I install them, I am going to install the tow hooks that were on my 03. I cleaned them up and painted them. They shouldn’t be hard to install, but didn’t want the fog lights in the way as they could be damaged.

Here's an update on the AlphaRex fog lights.

Installation was easy. I used the original wiring harness and bezels from my 03 and everything lined up ok and connected. I also used the Brite Box Fogster so the fog lights stay on with the high beams.

The lighting is good. A flat wide beam.

The only problem I have is they randomly switch to yellow when going between high beam and low beam. Not always, but enough to be aggravating. So I must then switch between high and low to get them to come back to white. The yellow are really low, so are useless for driving. Probably good in serious fog.

I don't know if there is any way to set them to not go to yellow. I may call the AlphaRex and ask them. I may end up returning them (if I can) and get something else.
