Front mud flaps and Centramatics done... The Centramatics can be seen a little more with this style 0f wheel. I gave them a coat of Rust-Oleum flat hammer black. We will see how the paint holds up with the brake heat.. Coming up next rear Centramatics, Sumo Springs and B&W 5th wheel hitch install. RAM Centa.jpg #ad

Did you source replacement push nuts for the rotors or simply delete them? I have not found any online yet and have not installed mine yet. I wanted to run my new tires a few miles first to see how / what vibration is there and the difference after.

Funny you asked that. I did the right side first and had the tire back on with a couple lug nuts threaded on. Then remembered there where 4 push nuts on the studs. I took the tire back off along with the Centramatics and took them off. It may be in the instructions to do that. But since they came off my 18 I had no instructions. I'm thinking those are used doing Factory assembly when building the axles so the rotors don't fall off. Thinking the calibers may be put on else where that would hold the rotors on. With that being said I backed them off enough to get a screw driver behind them bending them out and took my side cutters and cut them off.

YEah I was thinking the same way, thought id be nice to put them back so a tire shop / dealer didn't remove them haphazardly.

@bcbender, You should be able to find some at the hardware store. My local ACE Hardware has them in the pull out drawers. That way, you don't need to worry about condition getting them off.

Nothing to do with your truck but you were stationed at Shemya in the Air Force? I was in the Coast Guard and we'd fly in and out of there once every 2 weeks in our C130s when we resupplied the Loran Station on the Island of Attu. We also flew fishery patrols out of there for a week at a time. We ate like kings when we were there and it was pretty cool to explore the island.

Yep I was there Aug 81-Julish 82. I was active Air Force then in the Fire Department. Worked 24 on 24 off 6 shifts and then had a 3 day break. I wouldn't give up that year remote tour for nothing. We worked hard and played even harder. That is where I learned to drink Scotch and water, no hang over. NCO Club, the Rocker and Midnight chow. Normally in that order. I still stay in contact with my roommate he is retired also, living in Tulsa. If you haven't done it yet read the book The Thousand Mile War. I never left the Island while stationed there I took terminal leave at the last of the deployment. Jointed the Air Guard 3 months later for 33 years Fire Dept. Had 40yrs to the day Military.. C-130's are great..

I flew in and out of Shemya from 97-2000 and I always loved it. It only had civil service on the base at the time but the Cobra Dane radar site was still up n running. The missiles were out of the silos and they all had about 20 feet of water in them, great place to explore.

The Missiles were not there when I was there. I heard about them being there later, think it was called "Queens Match". The RC-135 was there punching holes in the night sky. Yep it was a neat place to be doing the cold war days..

Thanks.. I did my best. Generation X was a hard nut to crack. They caught on, it takes team work in the Fire Emergency Services side of the house.
