    Hi everyone, first time posting on here. I had a G56 behind a Hemi before I saw the light and bought my 2011 6.7. And I at 53,000 on my 2011 I finally had to convert to a dual disc clutch. Naturally I was expecting to put a CV boot on my shift tower but that Uni-boot that everyone recommends is not that great. So I did some research and found someone else who found a better solution and wanted to make sure it was posted here.

    I had to find an interchange part number but it's an EMPI neoprene boot, comes with clamps, available at NAPA and it was around $16 here in PA. The number is 686-2403 at NAPA. The EMPI number is 86-2403. They can be had from Amazon as well. It is much thicker than the Grey rubber one and doesn't need cut.

    How's the Valair dual disc clutch working out? Light pedal?

    The pedal is definitely stiffer. A dual disc changes the way the truck drives, but it's pretty necessary to be towing heavy and tuning the engine. Just make sure you follow the break in period to a T.

    So how much power are you putting against your G56?
    I am at 104,000 mi on my '07, 5.9 and I am at 395hp at the crank. The stocker went away early then I put 65-70k on a Southbend CON-OFE. I have the OKHD now and it is smooth on take off and especially reverse. Nice way to seal the shift tower.

    I'm going to upgrade my clutch and flywheel. Should I go ahead and replace the input and tail shaft seals since I'll have the transmission out? I've got 87000 miles on my truck. 2006 2500 Cummins 6 speed manual. Thanks for your thoughts.

    My $0.02 worth is, If it isn't leaking then leave it alone. Before I did mine last time, I had the OE seal just in case. DON'T use one of those cast iron replacement throw out bearing guides unless you know it will allow the T.O. Brng fork to retract enough. I tried one and uppon installation of the trans, I had NO freeplay on the T.O.Brng fork, hence the TO brng was already against the pressure plate at all the way back. We pulled back out the trans and I put the stock guide back on.

    I know this has been out there for awhile, but thanks for posting! My OEM boot is not 3 years on it, and it appears has failed, so I just ordered this from NAPA and will replace later today or tomorrow.
