Is there a solution that works to get the insulation back in place or what are the consequences if removed all together?

I removed mine, like many others, critters destroyed it.
No side effects from doing so.

I read a pretty good post about a gentleman who used rock crawler lights on his hood after removing the liner. He hooked them to a toggle and it lite up the engine bay like a runway landing strip. The stock lamp is pretty weak at best.
I am inspired to do the same. lol

Like others have, there are absolutely no consequences to removing the hood liner ...except for one less place for critters to call home !!

My hood insulation is still intact but I have heard the hood clear coat will start to peal from the heat if removed.
Any validation on this from you guys?

Na it gets much hotter from the sun outside then from the engine inside.
