Pennsylvania made! I like the way the sides drop down on those. Thats a lot of cubic yards, is that the 15,400 GVW? What do you plan on using it for?

With the new caps are you able to see the lube level? You sure the clear caps were the problem not the seals?

    These babies are da chitz.

Yes, they are clear plastic lens. It doesn't take long for them to discolor from the oil and become unreadable, then you have to pull the fill plug to see the level.

The worst leaker was cracked, the one that was just wet, I didn't find anything wrong.

Pretty sure I am getting some cracks on the horizontal support rail on my PJ sides. At first I thought is was just the powder coat but now I think it is the metal. Over half of the stitch welds on the top of both sides are cracking. None on the bottom.

My sides are only 2 ft high which I was initially a little concerned about but as I quickly learned 5-6 ton of material adds up fast. Hasn't been an issue, yet.

Says the guy that buys Longhorn trucks and Mobile Suits RV's :D Actual was $151.96, with free shipping.

Any updates on your sons operation?

Yes and I say the same for LongHorn and Mobile suites RV's.

His Ins says they will only give him 10k for his trailer. One year old in goof condition with the lifted frame no way they can find a comparable for that amount. When he gets this flip done he is going to consult with a Lawyer.

They are fixing his truck. His one month rental coverage is over so he is paying out of pocket for the 2500 RAM Diesel Rental.

Sent the pictures to PJ's warranty dept. they said get it fixed and gave me a claim number:)

I see in the new DE model pictures they have went to a one piece wall with the stiffener built in, so no welds. They also did away with the upright supports, not sure about that. About a year ago, JHenderson said that PJ was in the process of the change.

Who do they accept to perform repairs?

  13. NIsaacs

They wanted me to take it to the nearest dealer but that's Mesa, so two trips, not sure it is worth it. I think I will get a local welder to do it and just pay for it. If they help, great, if not I can understand that. It is also cracking on the front, top corners like my Lamar did.

I remember the Lamar deal. My Load Trail sides are one piece with the stiffeners rolled in, but kinda funky the way they scab the 2 x 4 box tube stiffeners vertically. I also don't like the position of the spring perches, they are set on the outer edge of the 8" I beam main frame. I guess it works but looking at it seems like the axle placement was an afterthought. Seems like they should have at least plated or gusseted the I beam in that area....

Now I know what you have been trying to tell me for the past year:D If your son's truck is lifted with larger tires...

My new truck is marginal with my PJ dump and torsion axles, these new trucks are tall! With my trailer level, I am at 5.5" of bed clearance, I always figured 6" is minimum. Not sure what to do now, I would hate to have to pull my Lamar with spring/equalizer axles, but I might have too.

I chickened out and hooked up the Lamar dump. Instant 7.5" tail gate clearance with a level trailer.

Both trailers have the same gooseneck riser, 12" I-beam x 60" tall. The PJ has a 12" horizontal beam, the Lamar 10", so that is where the difference is.

How hard would it be to lift the PJ?

If I recall correctly the CCSB 2500 spring suspension truck has the highest tailgate of all the models.

Take the truck to South Phnx. They will install those adjustable ride units and maybe some curb finders ;)

I think it would be pretty easy but at the same time complicated and time consuming and I hate to mess with it.

I pulled it for two years straight (Lamar) and didn't have a complaint or think anything was bad until I bought the torsion axles. I think I can get back into it, just hate to use the HD PJ as secondary/backup.
