Well this social-distancing has given us time to really get alot done on the remodel we started this winter. After we purchased this TT in November and camped a few times my wife decided she wanted to paint etc... of course it spiraled out of control from there! I have learned quite a bit about camper construction and how crappy it is. Been a lot of fun though - except the sanding
Finished up painting last weekend. Putting cabinets back together and flooring this week - in between working OT at work.

Also making new dinette table and kitchen countertop.

Thanks! I am no expert but learning as we go. I should have pulled stove and sink at the start, but wasn't originally going to replace countertop.
My work is fairly busy right now, been out most of the night last couple days on service calls, but have a 3 day weekend coming up so should get a lot more done.
Wall at bedroom will be for flat screen TV mount at top and making custom 12" deep x 36" wide cabinet in middle for radio/12V receptacles/battery monitor etc... Electric fireplace in bottom. Ran new dedicated 15A 120V receptacle for that.

Progress from this weekend. Not 100% happy with the slide transition, but will see how it works out. 20200329_120957.jpg #ad

Yes it is, pretty easy to work with. I primed the floor with the recommended stuff but wish I would have used the adhesive as well. Time will tell on that one.

I truly wish you the BEST!!!

I wish I would have known what you were doing, I would have HIGHLY recommended gluing the floor down. This is from many years working closely with Commercial Floor Layers and my own experience.

Next thing I would have recommended getting the flooring without the adhesive and saving the money.

Proper prep with a clean surface will go along way.

Yeah I am learning as I go :D
Definitely will use some adhesive next time. I did prep the floor pretty good otherwise. Sanded entire floor with 120 grit after seating any nails sticking up, pulling staples etc. Cleaned a few times then primed with the TEC Multi Purpose Primer. That did leave the floor slightly tacky after 24hr.

Looks very interesting with all of the work done so far, the paint looks very good with the dark peel and stick floor. I am wondering have you brought the slide in yet to see if the slide will rub on the floor? The reason I ask is that Lippert makes slide floor protectors (heavy duty plastic) when the slide is brought into so, the slide will roll on the protectors. I have a pair for my slide that will rub on the carpet so, the carpet does not wear.

You may need a set or two depending on the number of slides to protect the floor. I have a set for my carpet from Lippert that E-trailer sells.

    Thanks!

Yeah I've ran it in once but didn't seem to touch. It didn't rub on carpet before. Thanks for the link though I will check those out if it does rub.

Not a lot of work done this week. Last Saturday we got a newborn preemie (we are foster parents). So that has taken 99% of my time when I'm not at work. I did start putting up and priming the plywood on bedroom dividing wall.

    CC,

Nice job... I think you'll find the improvements you're making will make your RV truly first class. I like the light colors. Can't wait to see the finished unit.

    Cheers, Ron

Hi all. Still a work in progress but we are camping as much as possible also, interior is 95% done. Focused on some exterior/chassis upgrades since we were going on a longer trip. Installed MicroAir EasyStart on A/C. Goodyear Endurance, new springs, Dexter EZ Flex kit w/wet bolts, repack bearings, check and adjust brakes. Probably alot more I've forgotten. We just took a 7 day - 1000 mi trip to the Outer Banks and truck and trailer performed flawlessly. Will try and finish interior up soon and share those pics. 20200926_122751.jpg #ad

Looks like aluminum siding? If so look it over closely for small holes. Had a Prowler and sure enough there was some rot inside and when removing paneling and insulation I could literally see outside thru small pin holes in the aluminum.
